Set in a quiet location in a row of houses, the cottage is a short stroll from the country pub and restaurant, and within a few minutes’ drive of Wigtown, the Book Town, and close to Newton Stewart where there are many excellent shops and places to eat.

We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing holiday at River cottage. It was in a lovely quiet place, yet close to all the places we wanted to visit. The cottage itself was cosy and welcoming, and very well equipped.

Lovely cottage with a huge garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped even including logs for the log burner.The cottage was very dog friendly, there was a basket of toys, blankets, towels, bowls and treats near the back door.
